Alright. I know it's probably late to bring up new years resolution and all that since we past January already. However, for some reason I have a good feeling about this year, 2022. It doesn't hurt to pour out every single thing that I think about, my plans, my goals, just really all things that I will and expect to happen.
1. Take care of myself
This one is a long time coming. I really need to take care of myself more. It will be hard for sure but it still a must. I have to be aware of my body, take care of it better. By the time I write this, I had no clue how much I weight. I'm just too scared to put myself on the scale. It felt like I gained more since last year, maybe around 110 kg now. I don't enjoy looking in the mirror even just be aware of how wide and large my body is. I can't move around easily and I get lazier by the days. It's not great at all.
I must be able to motivate myself, take actions, and be consistent. Because of how busy I am, I believe 2 things I can prioritize to repair my well-being are eat better and sleep better. Daily meals for common Indonesian people are sadly dominated with carbs. I'll just manage what I can actually do for real, like cut down on the rice, more veggies, way cut down on greasy food and sugar. I can't bare with the calorie and energy theories. I'm going to just focus on the feasible tangible things I can do, at least for now.
The exercise part is supposed to be something that I enjoy, not the ones that I feel like I have to do. Maybe that's why I'm no longer doing daily exercise, because I got bored and I didn't enjoy it. Or perhaps I just needed variations. I like walking. I like to take a long walks while listening to music. I want to do it regularly. Every day would be better but if I can't it can be twice or thrice a week. I believe it's very much doable.
For sleeping arrangement I think the easiest thing I can do for a start is sleeping before 11 pm. Yeah. I'm going to do all that right away.
One more thing, fasting. That will also help a lot.
2. Be more productive
Ever since I got involved with English for Teachers program which is now called EFT+, I realize that there many things I can do outside my daily office job. I can write and share my English skills while at the same time improving them. It's all about finding balance and managing my time.
The key to self-improvement is self-awareness which then follows with self-action or willingness to act. Only with that I can reach what I want in the future.
