EFT Resume - Never Forget to Be Thankful or Grateful

Hi! I'm Vina. This is another video I made as a part of English for Teachers program with PGRI. This time is a short speech assigned by Mz. Poppy Meka at the 6th meeting on Thursday December 16th 2021. I hope you enjoy it.

So Mz. Poppy gave us free reign to create our own speech but she gave us 2 clue words, they are thankful and grateful. I think both are pretty similar and express the same meaning. The big difference that we need to notice is the context of where and when do we say them.

When we want to express how thankful we are, usually we say

"Thanks" or "Thanks for . . . "

"Thank you" or "Thank you for . . . "

"I'd like to say thank you" or "I'd like to say thank you for . . . "

They're all general daily expression we do every time we receive something, gotten help from someone, and many more.

Now grateful is more commonly used to express a very big or deep thanks. When we  receive or achieve something extraordinary or something we have been working on very hard for such a long time and we feel that saying "thank you" is just too simple and not enough, we can say

"I'm so grateful"

"I'd like to express my gratitude"

Either way, thankful or grateful have the same meaning and there's no solid strict rules of using them. When and where we use them depend on how we feel at the moment. So pay attention to what your heart says. Sometimes we might even feel like saying thank you or gratitude is not adequate and we prefer to express it by doing something more tangible.

It is very important to never forget to be thankful or grateful. Remember when we were little we were taught to say thank you ever since we could speak. Then we kept being reminded to say it all the time we receive something. That was to create a good habit. As we grew older, we understood more about the importance of it. Being thankful or grateful can also help to maintain good mental health plus avoiding negative thoughts and feelings such as stress, depression, scare, and anxiety.

Like it or not we can never control everything we want. As long as we breath in this world we're bound to have ups and downs, highs and lows, that's called living. So just enjoy everything we do; be thankful to our family, our loved ones, and other people around us; and be grateful for what we have.

That's all from me. Thank you to Mz. Poppy for giving us this amazing assignment and I encourage my fellow participants to do the task. You got nothing to loose and it's great for practice. So let's do it! I hope you enjoy my speech. Thanks again and I'll see you next time. Bye.
